So beyond that it's been sorting things out to find something I want to do with myself these days. As I mentioned in a previous journal entry, my return from studying abroad pretty much proved my sneaking suspicion that the majority of my circle o' friends at college were shallow, selfish, idiots only interested in being entertained by me while gobbling up the benefits of my nigh naive generosity. What remains is a bitter person who has little outside himself to trust. The current poetry journal has benefited from this harsh lament I seem locked in. What few people I have left that I trust have moved on from this place (whether at the shrewd realization that everything great at Covenant has been killed by Neo-con presbyterians appointing stricter and stricter administrators or by the ever marching beat of time as snatches Seniors away). Admittedly this is a rather selfish feeling, but it seems all I have lately is my self.
Updates are incoming, I have a few poems of lament prepared along with a few interesting attempts at a sonnet. We'll see how those seem.
